Westin is another place I recently went to buy a cake for a friends birthday. No doubts the ambience was good after all you expect the best out of a hotel like Westin. Me and my friend who came with me to buy the cake wanted some different cake as we already had enough chocolate and red velvet cakes. We decided to taste a few pastries before going ahead to buy a 1.5kg cake. Sadly the only pastry they had available at the time being was the regular chocolate truffle. We were out , searching for a cake since the morning. So we bought the pastry because we couldn't tolerate our hunger. It tasted like a regular chocolate truffle pastry that we could find anywhere but the only thing standing out about it ,making it a little different from the rest of the places was the freshness the chocolate.Costing around ₹170 it was ok nothing special. It was layered with chocolate and sponge. Garnished with tempted chocolate and a dark chocolate pipe.

We were not very keen to buy the chocolate truffle cake. Another option they had was a white chocolate strawberry cake. It was gazed with white chocolate and beautifully decorated with macarons and tempted chocolate. There was fresh strawberry with vanilla icing between the sponge. We were faced with the dilemma if we should buy a cake that we have never tasted and can't taste because they didn't have a pastry in that flavour. But this cake looked so different and beautiful. It was very different from what we usually get at bakeries. Taking a risk we decided to buy the cake hoping everyone likes the cake. Since we wanted a 1.5 kg cake we had to place a special order and the chef agreed to bake us a cake which we had to come and collect in 4 hours. The 1.5 kg cake costed around ₹2400.

We came back after 4 hours and the cake was ready as promised. Before leaving we also purchased a couple of macarons and lemon curd chocolate.Macaron was crispy and sugary and tasted perfect. The lemon curd chocolate tasted like the filling of a lemon curd tart.It is something that i would like to have again. Each macaroon costed ₹65 and so this the chocolate.

It was a relief that everyone liked the cake very much and it was not a waste.I find Daily treat a nice place to come back specially to try the caffeine menu and the sandwiches which were a visual treat.
Over all I would like to rate it 3.5 on a scale of 5 and would recommend it if you want to have a peaceful bite. They have happy hours between 7pm to 10 pm where they offer all the pastries at 50% of the original price.
